    Default Remington 700ML Conversion

A few years back I saw a conversion for the 700ML Remington that converted the gun to use 209 primers instead of percussion caps. Now that I want one I can't find one anywhere. I understand Cabela's used to carry them, but they don't anymore. Is it out of production? Anybody have any idea where I can find one?

    Welcome to the Guide.

I am not aware of any current source. Have you contacted Remington directly? It wouldn't be a very difficult job make either an adapter like the kits that were sold or a new breech plug designed specifically for 209 primers.

simple as that ...mine came with all three nipples FWIW seems the regular caps seem to be more accurate followed by the special lighter 209 muzzle loading primers , of course your mileage may vary

Maybe I'm missing something. The 209 primer goes into this nipple. But what fires it? My firing pin on my 700ML is completely flat on the front to fire caps. Is there a different firing pin needed also? Didn't see one listed in the parts

mine has a lil tit on it that centers on all three nipples , on a weird note i notice they have a .50 cal. bbl ( mine's a .54 ) but they only want $310 for it geez
my knight i had to get a diff bolt for to use the shotgun primers with and then found out it's way more accurate with standard caps

    Default I found it!

I called Remington (why didn't I think of that before) and the parts person I spoke with directed me to Ahlman's (www.ahlmans.com ). I haven't called them yet to find out the price but they should have the conversion in stock.
