    Question Barrell break in

    Howdy,
    Does anyone know the best procedure to properly break in the barrell of
    a rem cdl in 270 win.? How many rounds-any helpfull handloads?

    barell break in is to break down any imperfections left in the bbl from manufacture.
    just don't get it hot and clean the copper out as you go, for the first 50 shots or so.
    i use minimum loads to start to ease things some, and work up my loads at the same time.

    i have often thought that just firing a lapping kit through a new bbl and not worrying about it,
    might be the easiest solution.

    I,m about set to go-got 80 rounds of brass polished up etc-I,m thinbking about a 130 g projectile since they seem to be so popular inthe accuracy dept-
