    Default 7.62x25 carbine loads

I have just aquired a 7.62x25 barrel for my TC Contender.Have shot enough factory (Winchester) to start loading. Would like to use 100 or 110 gr SPBT. This is for varmits up to coyote size. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,

What twist does your contender have?? With the CZ model 52 pistol that bullet would be too heavy.
I shot all 90gr out of my CZ 52.
A 100+ gr bullet is too long for such a short case, and I don't see how it could work very well even with a fast twist.
Also - The 7.62X25 has a 308 groove unlike all the other 7.62s that the russians used, so bullets designed for the SKS and AK47 will not work.

I'd stick to the 85-90 grain as a max. Heavier would be too long - too deeply set, which means too much pressure - even in the TC. With Power Pistol powder, you can drive those little pills close to 2,000 fps...
