    Default Open sights

As trajectory tables always seem to assume a scope is used can any one advise me as to what adjustments should be made for using open sights ?

usually each notch on the rear is about 3" at 100 yds.
i set mine for it to be 3" high at 100 yds, so when target shooting i can use a figure eight on the target and front sight.
for further distances i just figure tthe amount of front sight i need to hold over the rear notch.
unless for target type or silhouette shooting then i try to match my load to figure in for each distance i need to shoot and remember [write down] what hold i need for each silhouette.
like chickens on top of post pigs post on [covering] target. click one or two up turkeys on post covering rams.
unless you have a set of repeatable tang or peeps. with those you either mark or count.
