Does anybodyhave any .270, 150 gr GasCheck reload data available? I have searched and cannot find 150 gr cast bullet hand-load data.

Welcome to The Guide DrBill.
If you are unable to find anything next door at Cast Boolits, then you can try the following formula with IMR or Alliant powders only, in medium capacity cases. It may work with others, but I have not tried it, and some ball powders are notoriously unstable in reduced loads. In medium capacity cases, I generally use IMR 3031, 4895, & 4064, and RL 7 & 15.

Look up jacketed loads for the bullet weight you want to shoot.
Jacketed MAX - Jacketed START = Difference
Jacketed START - Difference = Cast START
Work up from CStart to JStart in 1gr increments, watching carefully for signs of leading/stripping.

I focus on hunting loads for large game. If you just want plinking loads, you may want to look at pistol powders. If you PM me an email adress, I can send you a .doc file with an article that contains a lot of good info.

7.5grs of Unique for 1200fps
17.5 of 4198 for1522fps

Ly 280412 GC 135gr:
7.3grs of Unique for 1200fps
19grs of 4198 for 1590fps

Metallic Ctges Reloading by E.A. Matunas gives, for a 128gr bullet and a 22" bbl:

11/13.5grs of Red Dot for 1575/1775fps (29500/39500cup)
11/14.5grs of Green Dot for 1600/1850fps (31500/40500cup)
12/15grs of Unique for 1700/1925fps(28000/40000cup)
12/15.5grs of 4756 for 1550/1825fps(24500/40000cup)

the lyman manual should have some fair data.
if yer looking for some velocity use powders waaay too slow for your .hard to go wrong that way. and the worst that could happen is you hit normal pressures and get some lead in your bbl.
