Inspect the bore for leading?
Are the bullets large enough?

Did you call Lee and were you at the press when you talked to them?
Did you carefully and completely read all instructions and follow all suggestions? Lee instructions are very short, but...
Try NOT sizing them at all. It's worked for me for over 35 years.
Tell us what you find.
COL:
1) fits magazine
2) close to but not touching the lede/lands/rifling
3) Varies by bullet, depending on ogive
4) Always load a couple of inert dummy rounds and verify that they fit the mag...
Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook 4th Edition should be on your shelf.
Cast bullet should be no smaller than 0.4525".
300gn Cast Lead:
Enforcer: 32.8gn start (most accurate) to 36.5gn
296/H110:36gn...
E3 is a very good "fast" powder for std. .45 Auto/.38 Spl and action pistol shooting. The only problem is working up loads for an "unknown" powder. One might even call Alliant and see if they have...
Always start with the lowest start load you can find.
TiteGroup burns HOT and doesn't always play nice with lead or coated bullets.
For low recoil loads, Bullseye, Red Dot, Solo 1000, and even...
Still got my Unique, Herco, and Red Dot from the '70s and they all work just fine.
Did you slug your barrels or just go with popular opinion on proper size?
You could do what I have done for about 40 years--don't size the bullets at all. I found that as-cast bullets were as...
Loading 1.5gn won't stick a bullet in a barrel. Having NO powder in the case will stick a bullet.
All reloading manuals are correct: for the gun they used and the exact lot numbers of components...
I have not read a single reliable source that has EVER recommended a roll crimp for .45 Auto. All the manufacturer's make clear that their .45 roll crimp dies are for .45AR or .45Autos used in a...
isn't this covered in reloading manuals? Of course, most manuals seem more interested in selling useless gadgets than really explaining how to reload. Thus, if this is the problem, get "ABCs of...
Unless you crimp, it just doesn't matter.
You can even trim all the cases to the same length as the shortest case.
All the shell holder does is hold the shell. Some are thicker than others, but in all cases, the sizing die comes down to "kiss" the case. A specific maker's shell holder may be "superior" in being...
OK, during expansion, the expander and the case ID are tight and it can be difficult at times to remove.
This can be alleviated with a very little graphite or fine powdered mica lube in the case...
Have never had any issue with lube on the case--it "should" ease extraction, if anything.
If you feel lube on the cases, you are over lubing those cases by quite a lot.
Do you lube due to steel...
When you pull the slide back, is the case extracted? If so, then the extractor is fine and it is your load.
Do factory loads extract? If so, then it is your load.
I show 5.6-6.4gn 571/HS7 for lead...
I believe the "side plate" being mentioned is the cover where the handle is. You need to remove it to disassemble the PPM. The PPM works by having two conical sections, where one moves against the...
Versifier: confusing the Lee PPM with the Lee Pro Auto Disk?
No, if you can't eat it and it isn't threatening you...
We are now on 13-18 years of NO global warming. There has been no warming during most of the time that the idiots have spread their stupidity. Follow the money--lots of money for global warming, lots...
Well, believe or not, your gun will never know the difference between a 123, 124, 125, 126, or 127gn bullet.
For handguns, 124=125gn.
If that concerned, have you weighed them to see what they...
Great gun, except for recoil. It is my first straight blow-back and it "kicks" worse than any of my 1911s.
For revolvers and roll crimps, size all your cases and trim to the same length. Seat bullets just to top of cannelure on bullet and then roll crimp in separate step.
You appear to possibly be...
