Clayt's 2014 Texas hunting trip w/ "Mike in TX"report

Gents,
I spent a week with "Mike in TX" in South Texas and spent 3.5 days hunting. No pigs to shoot this year, oil well construction has disrupted the pattern. We did trap 1 lone boar ~140lbs. I did get to hunt ducks (them TX boys aren't much good at pass shooting, I showed'm how it's done Yankee style!) and 1 day of doves.

We had mostly warm weather ~80, pretty nice for this northern boy!

I did get to experience a good ol'fashioned ICE STORM in San Antonio. The Texans do the same thing we do in New England.... CRASH!
The day after returning home I was out on the lake @ 5 degree on my snowmobile, quite a change!

It was great to have Clayt down. He brings sunshine and warm weather. YUP needed winter longjohns. It was a fun time even if we did not see any hogs.

So, from where in the middle of New Hampsha did you find this sunshine and warm weather to bring with you, clayt? I wish you'd have left a little of it here when you packed your bags.

You need to shoot a few hogs next time down. We got plenty to go around!
