What one of your guns is your favorite I have seven guns (hoping to get more:mrgreen:)
so it kind hard to decide which one of them I like most:neutral:.
but it probably will have to be my Stevens 200, 243 win
(sorry to all of my other guns for picking favorites)
I have painted the stock on it so its now snow camo!
I am trying to sell one of my guns , and buy a new one![smilie=w:

Tony I know how you feel I have 16 Pistols and 73 Long arms to choose from. The worst is I bought each of them because ai really liked them. I really do like them and enjoy shooting each and everyone of them but I seem to only get to shoot each of them once a year sometimes twice.
I do love my 40-90 SBN though it was my first sharps and I always wanted one since I was a wee bit of a lad.
Have fun and enjoy Ken

PS I hope you get more guns too, just so it complicates your choice even more.
It is a great dilema to be in.

I guess a toss up between my Winchester lever 44mag, and the 45-70 NEF SS.
For small game,it would have to be my Davey Kricket 22 SS bolt action. Yes, it's a kids' rifle.A story behind that one.:-D
My handguns are mostly in 45 Colt/454 Casull.Which 45 today ?.....A NM Vaquero,
BlackHawk,F.A., or Uberti.

My favorite is the one thats sighted in at the time I need one! Probably my 308 Win is the one I grab more often than not. My newest is the flavour of the month but - a 300WSM necked up to .423 called the 404 Aussie Stalker. Shoots a 400grain bullet into 1.5 inches at 100 metres and drops camels like the hammer of Thor. Should be able to try it on Buff later this year. [smilie=w:

My favorite rifle is a tie between my Colt AR 15 HBar and Colt AR 15 HBar Elite.
Both are excellent rifles and depending on iron sights or scope will determine which (if not both) go to the range.
Those Colt AR 15s are hard to beat.

1st favorite rifle: I'd have to say it would be one of my 6.5x54mm Model 1903 Mannlicher-Schoenauer full stock carbines. Just handy and ever so comfortable to use/carry in the field/shoot. Almost as powerful as your 6.5 Swede.

2nd favorite: Next for favorit/comfortable long guns would be the Ruger #3 carbine. I used a rebored from .223 Rem to .257 Rbts for caibou for many years. Have added a .223 Rem rebored to .308 WCF and it's become the favorite of the favorite #3's. I've two other in .30-40 Krag that I'm quite fond of as well.

3rd favorite: Then would come one of several .45-70 rifles/carbines. "Anything other than a .45-70 is blasphemy!" as someone once told me in 2006, while cutting up moose meat...................................just outside of Delta Junction.

I'm very partial to the round myself. I shoot it out of an ancient Mannlicher Greek military rifle that came back with a friend's dad from WWII. It's a tack driver, but it looks like it's been run over by several tanks.

versifier and others...
I just posted an Article from the 1930 February issue of American Rifleman magazine, that talks about the 6.5x54mm Mannlicher-Schoenauer cartridge and carbine. The same pretty much applies to the olther, older, 6.5mm cartridges out there still being used.
Before forgetting, I posted the article in the General Forum, under General Hunting Chatter.....as thought it would be ok to post it in that section? Hope so. Moderators, if I posted it in the wrong section, my apologies.
I have enjoyed/liked that article so much, that I have a copy of it framed on the wall!

Excellent article, thanks for posting it. The rotary mag is an amazing piece of engineering. Unfortunately, time and the elements have taken their toll on mine and it will only hold two rounds and still feed reliably. The old girl still shoots MOA with 140gr Sierra GK's, so I wouldn't need a second shot. Maybe I'll hunt with it one of these years just for the hell of it.

With 5.8gn of SR 4756 and brass made from star-line 32/20s, at 20 yards I can keep all of them within 3''!
But I have one problem.
I need .317'' dia bullets/boolits But Dad doesnt have the die..... So for now I am shooting .314'', and there shooting perty good! Now all i need is ...
32/20 brass
Primers

.317'' dia boolits!

Hey love the name. I used to call all those things Moosey Nugent now I'll have to change.... Moosey Nag Ant!

BTY. that thing shoots really well... 3" at 20yds with .003" undersized no less! She oughta shoot even better with the better fit.

Oh... favorite rifle? Tough question. Let's see......Reliable, smooth action, lever repeater, nothing fancy, excellent fit to shoulder, enough power, fairly short range (non-scoped), serious hunting.... original Win 71 in 348.

It all depends on what I'm doing at the time, elk and/or moose, bear, etc. .45/70, deer sized game my Marlin .30-.30, Henry BB .45 caliber, rabbit/squirrel .22 rimfire bolt action or, if I'm feeling particularly lazy .410 caliber pump action shotgun all with iron sights.

Rem. 760 in 6MM. Dad bought me this rifle new in '85 to start my hunting career in '86. Even though I bought a Rem. 700 in .270 in my late teens, I still find plenty of opportunities each hunting season to take it for a walk.

The 6MM cartridge is a sweet one to shoot, and it easily gets the job done on deer.

My favorite rifle is a Mauser 71/84 in 11mm mauser, all original milsurp 8 round tubemag boltaction, makes a 45-70 look like a 45colt. If I can see it I will hit it. Coyote, deer, hog.
It is the original shoulder cannon.
My backup rifle would be a model 36, not 336, marlin in 30-30. No microgroove to mess with cast boolits.

My favorite rifle is usually the one in my hand as I am shooting (as long as it and I shoot well).
However if I had to pick just one, it would probably be my 77 Rug. in 7x57. A close second would be my M95 Swede in 6.5x55. Have a great fondness for old classic ctgs. Does not exclude my 06's however, and my #1 Rug in K-Hor is well up there. Ah----so many guns, so little time.
