I have quite a few primed 300 wby mag cases that were given to me to de-prime. How can this safely be done? Thanks for the help.

Just go ahead and deprime them like you would shot brass.
Don't get rammy with them just even steady pressure and you will have no troubles at all.
I have done quite a few in my years.

You can reuse them again also.

Good Luck Ken.

Welcome to the Guide.

Go slowly and make sure you have eye protection. Most of us have had to deprime a few live cases at one time or another - I've never had one go off while I've been doing it.

Considering the cost and scarcity of primers recently, I am curious as to why you would want to deprime "quite a few" cases? I wouldn't think there was enough difference in performance between brands to just scrap them - at least they ought to do for practice loads unless LP's were used instead of LR's or LRM's.

use them for fireforming as is. won't matter if they are lr or lp that way.
